Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival
Welcome to Vietnam!
Upon arrival, our guide will meet you at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and take you to your hotel.
Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City
Today, you will head to Dong Khoi Area to explore the highlights of Ho Chi Minh City. You will walk to the Opera House and the former Hotel de Ville, visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office, and wander up to the War Remnants Museum to gain a glimpse of the war.
Your last sight for today is the Ben Thanh Market, where you can deeply feel the lifestyle of the old Saigon.

Day 3: Side Trip to the Mekong Delta
Today, you will take a full-day trip to the Mekong Delta. After breakfast, you will first take a drive to My Tho, the gateway of the Mekong Delta to visit a distinctive Vinh Trang Temple.
Then, you will head to My Tho and transfer into a motor boat for a cruise along the Mekong River. You will enjoy the landscape of the Mekong Delta and visit a local family on a small island to see how the local’s life is and taste the fresh fruits, honey tea, and honey wine with the family.
After your Mekong Delta tour, you will get back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City to Hoi An
After breakfast, you will get to Hoi An by taking a flight to Da Nang first. Your guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in Hoi An.
Hoi An is the most atmospheric town in Vietnam. In the afternoon, you can get a close look at those historical architectures that were influenced by European, Chinese, and local Vietnamese cultures. You will visit the Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Hall, 200-year-old Tam Ky House, former merchants’ homes, and the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge. Also, you can visit the colorful local markets to experience the local’s life.

Day 5: Hoi An Tour

Day 6: Hoi An to Hue via Da Nang
After breakfast, you will visit My Son Holy Land, where a large complex of religious relics is. You will explore the ruins of ancient temples and towers of the Champa Kingdom between the 4th and 12th centuries.
Then, you will continue your journey to Hue via the Mandarin Road. You can enjoy the beautiful views over the South China Sea outside of Hue by passing through the Hai Van Pass.

Day 7: Hue
In the morning, you will first take a boat ride along the Perfume River to the Tomb of Minh Mang. Along the river, you will see the local life up close. Upon arrival, you will walk in the gardens of the Tomb to see the beauty of the ancient decorations.
Then, you will visit Tu Duc Tomb, a royal resting place for an emperor. Strolling in the garden, you will enjoy the perfect combination of characteristic architecture with local flavor and beautiful natural scenery.
After that, you will explore the Imperial City of Hue, which has been influenced by many cultures, both eastern and western and ancient and modern.

Day 8: Hue to Hanoi

At the end of today’s tour, you will explore the Old Quarter, the bustling area of narrow open open streets and alleys.

Day 10: Hanoi to Halong Bay (L, D)
After breakfast, you will transfer to Halong Bay, the spectacular World Heritage-listed site. You will board a traditional wooden junk boat and explore the jade waters studded with karst islands.
After lunch onboard, you will visit Trinh Nu Cave to see the stunning array of stalactites and stalagmites.
Then, you can go swimming or kayaking as you like in your free time.

Day 11: Back to Hanoi (B)
In the morning, you can join in a T’ai Chi class on the deck of the Junk boat. The time before we leave is your free time. You can enjoy a refreshing morning swim or take one last look at Halong Bay.
On the way back to the harbor, you will explore Surprise Cave, also known as Sung Sot Cave. It is one of the largest and most beautiful caves in Halong Bay. You will be amazed by the stunning karst limestone with neon lights.
After that, you will transfer back to Hanoi.

Day 12: Hanoi to Bangkok
Today, you are free until you take a flight from Hanoi to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.

Day 13: Bangkok
After breakfast, you will have a sightseeing tour of Bangkok city, the capital and one of the most popular destinations in Thailand.
First, you will go to visit Wat Pho, one of the most visited temples in Thailand. Believed to be found in the 16th century, the temple has a sacred 46-meters-long reclining Buddha inside its main ordination hall. The temple also houses the richest collections of Buddhist art in Thailand.
Then, visit the Grand Palace nearby, to see the magnificent architecture of ancient Siamese court. As the former royal residence built in 1782, the palace now is served to host royal ceremonies and welcome the king’s guests. You may get a chance to visit the Temple of Emerald Buddha here. Besides, you need to dress properly when visiting the palace, making sure to wear long loose pants and shirts to cover your shoulders and knees.
After that, you will continue to travel on the Chao Phraya River and on through the Klongs (canals) of Thonburi. You will feel the ramshackle charm of the houses and temples along the waterway, which gave the city the name “Venice of the East”.
In the late afternoon, you will pay a visit to Wat Arun, a missile-shaped temple named after the Indian god of dawn. It is one of the most photographed sights in Bangkok. You will see and photograph the imposing view of the temple at sunset.

Day 14: Bangkok to Chiang Mai
Today, you will take a flight from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, the cultural and business center of Northern Thailand.

Day 15: Chiang Mai Tour
Today, you will first enjoy a wonderful half-day excursion to the Elephant EcoValley. Besides getting to know Thailand’s favorite creatures, you will take part in some exciting animal-friendly activities, such as harvest grass for the elephants’ snacks; plant a banana tree or herbs; make herbs into vitamin balls and feed the balls to the elephants; hike with elephants to the upper EcoValley; etc.
Then in the afternoon, travel back to Chiang Mai to visit the famous temple of Wat Doi Suthep. Sitting on the mountain after which it is named, the temple offers the best site to appreciate the impressive view of Chiang Mai city.
